There are moments
when returning to the fundamentals
of movement can completely
change the way we experience
high heels.
During Fashion Week in Paris,
I am opening a limited series
of private online High Heels Sessions
via Zoom for women who would like
to explore the foundations of
the ASAMI-PARIS Method
through a more focused format.
The course consists of
five private 60-minute sessions.
Within the ASAMI-PARIS Method,
I work with five fundamental
barefoot exercises designed to
develop the foundations required
for walking in high heels.
For this special course,
we will work with two selected
barefoot exercises, chosen
according to the body
and its individual tendencies.
From there,
we move into high heels.
The work focuses on the
relationship between posture,
weight distribution, the feet,
and the movement of the entire
body.
High heels are never
isolated from the body
that wears them.
The position of the pelvis.
The alignment of the upper body.
The way the feet receive
and transfer weight.
The way the legs and gluteal
muscles participate in each step.
Even a very small adjustment
can change the quality of
movement.
The purpose is not simply
to learn how to “walk in heels.”
It is to begin understanding
how your own body moves
in them.
Each body has its own habits.
Its own compensations.
Its own strengths.
Its own areas that
require greater precision.
My work is therefore not
based on asking every woman
to reproduce exactly the same
movement.
I observe the body
in front of me.
And from there, we work
with greater and greater precision.
For me, walking in high heels
begins long before the first step.
It begins with the body.
With its structure.
With the way it stands.
With the way it receives weight.
And with the way all of
these elements come together
in movement.
During Fashion Week in Paris,
I wanted to open this work
through a shorter, concentrated
session format while preserving
something essential to
the ASAMI-PARIS Method:
the possibility of working
progressively with the body
over time.
A single session can introduce
the work, but it does not allow
the same depth of progression
through the body.
This is why I chose to offer
this special course as a series
of five sessions.
Five sessions allow the work
to be progressively deepened
and support its integration
into movement.
Across the five sessions,
I can continue to observe how
the body responds, refine the work
accordingly, and gradually bring
greater precision into movement.
The aim is not
to accumulate exercises.
It is to give the body time to
experience, integrate,
and develop the work from
one session to the next.
