How Many Sessions Does It Take to Walk Beautifully in High Heels?

Elegant woman in a flowing red evening gown and high heels, standing in a luxurious Parisian interior overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

One of the questions
I am most frequently asked
by prospective clients is:

How many sessions will I need before
I can walk beautifully in high heels?

The truth is,
I cannot give a definitive answer.

There are several reasons for this.

First, the human body possesses
far greater individuality and
diversity than we often imagine.

Each person develops different
movement habits through daily life.

Muscular development also
varies considerably from one
individual to another, long before
the first session begins.

Furthermore, the development
of muscular strength and control
depends not only on what takes
place during a session, but also on
the client’s awareness in everyday life
and the frequency with which
they practise the exercises afterwards.

Another essential element
is the connection between
the brain and the body.

To engage individual muscles
with precision, this connection
plays a fundamental role.

Yet the degree of coordination
and bodily awareness differs
from person to person.

During the first session,
I can usually gain a reasonably
clear understanding of a client’s
physical condition and
movement patterns.

This ability comes
from extensive experience.

Once I have observed the body
in motion and worked with the
client directly, I can generally offer
an approximate indication of
how many sessions may be needed.

But I will never make an
irresponsible promise about
a body I have never observed.

There is, however,
something even more important.

When exercise is pursued solely
for the sake of health, motivation
can gradually fade, making
consistency difficult to maintain.

But when the desire is
to cultivate beauty, develop
confidence from within,
or allow one’s presence to flourish
more fully, something changes.

What might otherwise
feel like effort becomes something
we genuinely want to do.

And I believe that
when we cannot perceive or
experience the results of our efforts,
it becomes much harder to
sustain them.

This is one of the distinctive
qualities of the
ASAMI-PARIS philosophy
.

The results can often be
felt and observed even during
a session.

The line of the legs
begins to change.

As posture improves, a different
quality of presence begins to emerge.

And through the experience
of walking beautifully,
clients discover just how profoundly
elegance can be transformed
by the way the body moves.

Beyond these visible changes,
improvements in physical comfort
and longstanding bodily concerns
may also emerge, contributing to
a healthier, more harmonious body.

These results are possible because
my sessions do not operate merely
at a superficial level.

I work with something far deeper:
The architecture of the human body.

Just as a magnificent building
depends upon the integrity of its
underlying structure, true elegance
in movement depends upon
the principles that govern the body
itself.

It is within this structural
foundation that I work.

And it is through the meeting
of two distinct worlds
— the aesthetics of Paris and Monaco —
that the art and philosophy
of ASAMI-PARIS have taken shape.

Today, I have chosen to address
one of the questions I receive most
often.

I hope these reflections offer
a clearer understanding of what lies
behind the art of walking beautifully
in high heels.
