The reason I live with
high heels has evolved in
proportion to the evolution of
my consciousness.
At different moments in my life,
the reasons have been different.
At times, it was for beauty.
At times, it was to maintain
my physique.
At other times, it was to care
for my body during pregnancy
and after childbirth,
or simply to live with elegance.
Today, the reason I live with
high heels is different.
It is to return to my axis.
Or perhaps a more accurate
expression would be:
to remember it, again and again.
The axis of the mind and
the axis of the body
are perfectly connected.
One of the greatest benefits of
having an axis is that the
moment we drift away from it,
we immediately notice.
Without an axis,
the most dangerous thing is not
the drift itself, but the inability
to recognize it.
No one remains perfectly
aligned forever.
Neither mentally nor physically.
What truly matters
is how quickly
we are able to return.
The longer we remain
in misalignment,
the more familiar it becomes.
Over time, both the body and
the mind begin to mistake
that position for the correct one.
This is often the first step
toward physical discomfort.
Fatigue.
Pain.
A sense of unease.
The same is true of the mind.
For this reason,
living with high heels
has become, for me,
less about beauty and more
about returning to my axis.
It is also a way
of remaining humble
before the body.
Not humble in the sense
of diminishing oneself,
but humble enough to
observe oneself with clarity,
objectivity, and honesty.
Perhaps that is what true distance
from oneself means.
There are as many reasons
to make high heels a companion
in life as there are people.
Because living with high heels
has a unique way of guiding
each person toward what
they most need at a particular
moment in their life.
The philosophy of high heels
is an immutable structure.
