posture and movement in high heels
the ASAMI-PARIS method focuses

your weight on the ball of the big toe.

This concept is not limited to sports
science — it plays a critical role in
elegant disciplines such as classical
piano performance or operatic singing.

It is about finding balance
 at the very origin of movement.

The ability to consciously anchor your
weight on the ball of the big toe activates
the inner muscles of the foot.

This activation is the cornerstone
of natural hallux valgus correction.

When this point is neglected, weight
shifts outward. This prevents proper
muscle engagement, exacerbating
misalignment and discomfort.

The inner foot muscles are directly
 linked to the inner leg, and together
they create not only stability but harmony.

When properly developed, they
sculpt legs with refined alignment
and beauty.

These inner leg muscles are also
connected to the body’s core.
Thus, proper weight distribution
 through the ball of the big toe helps
 establish a strong and elegant
body axis.

In many cases, hallux valgus
presents differently on each side.

For example, when the condition
is more advanced on one foot
that leg may appear bow-legged in
contrast to the other.

This reflects the muscular imbalance
between each side, further underlining
the importance of precise weight placement.

Ultimately, everything begins with
where and how you place your weight.

Yet for decades, we walk according
to unconscious patterns — habits
developed without awareness.

This is why these barefoot exercises
